That's an idea with quite a bit of merit.  If the LC's in training were to
have an assignment of working in a number of different breastfeeding
assistance settings they could get a much fuller view of what happens when
and sometimes why.  I feel so lucky to work in post partum, a hospital
breastfeeding clinic (for anybody with problems regardless of where they
delivered or when),  private practice clients and breastfeeding support
groups.  Each setting is different from the others and gives a unique
perspective and has allowed me to broaden my view and be much less hasty to
be critical of a suggested intervention somebody might have given a mom.  If
we each had those sorts of opportunities it would seem we'd all be better
trained as a result.
