I think I was a bit off-minded when I wrote this (being at the diner party already in my mind, I guess; the diner was a great experience of very nice food and great company). The message should have read:
Dear friends,
I have a question regarding vasculitis (rheumatoid
inflammations of the vascular system). There seems to have been a
Swedish TV documentary claiming that prolonged breastfeeding enhances the risk for vasculitis in the nursing child if the child inherited the genes for rheumatoid conditions. I think this is kind of an urban
legend, perhaps wrongly translated by the broadcasting company or
misunderstanding of the viewer.
Does anyone know about any research on this? Or the source of the documentary?
