All right, all art (?) lovers:

According to the Chicago Tribune Magazine last Sunday which had a lovely
picture of the Picasso sculpture which is also on the ICEA brochure, I quote:

"The Picasso sculpture that mystified Chicagoans in 1967. Is it a bird? a
woman? -- now symbolizes the city."

So there you have it -- from the horse's mouth, so to speak. No one knows
what it is -- proably not even Picasso. I suspect that an womanly bird-like
elephant is probably the best guess. As to it symbolizing Chicago? I'm not
quite sure about that!!
