One more word on proctoring the exam. We tried to set up a site in Memphis, Tennessee, to have the exam offered here. We had about 12 people in our city who were taking it. I reserved a place and was approved as a proctor. THEN we found out that candidates MUST write in the city they want to take the exam in even if it is not one of the sites listed. Our people thought they would be automatically contacted by IBLCE if there were a site set up in their city, but that is not the way it works. Soooo, everyone had to go out of town to take it. Just FYI, if you want to set up a site, you must tell everyone to write in your city. The IBLCE will take no responsibility in contacting people if they do not write their preference in the blank. For future candidates, make sure you write in the closest large city around you---someone may be setting up a site for you! Your second choice could be the closest city listed on the application because that is where you will be assigned if a site in your own town is not set up! Just passing along what I have learned...
