I spent a summer in Korea in 1963, visiting friends who were living there
for a few years.  I asked before I left home what I could bring over and my
friend said to bring breast shells.  The dresses of the women were designed
to bind the breasts tightly, with no breast protrusion.  My friend said that
inverted nipples were very common as a result. The fashion has probably
changed for every-day wear now.

After reading some of the posts the past few days, I see that temporary
inverted nipples could develop from such pressure over years.

Do women in cultures where breasts aren't restricted in bras or other
binding have inverted nipples?  I've often wondered if some of our US
problems come from tight bras, particularly with large breasted women.
