Hello!
My name is Michelle Ramsey and I am a C.B.E. outside Dallas, Tx. I have two
children Taylor born at 36 weeks on May 5, 93 and Travis born at 34 weeks on
May 5, 95. All happy breastfed babies. I have had many intresting days
since the birth of my children. I was in a mall bathroom and saw a mom
nursing in a stall and felt compelled to tell her she didn't have to hide and
how she should be proud to be a model for passers by who may have wanted to
breastfeed but were afraid etc. She then asked me if I breastfed and with
tears in her eyes she asked if I would sit on the bench with her while she
nursed. We sat together and fed our babies and laughed about all the
intresting looks we recieved. That was the start of my fight. I have a
wonderful husband named Kenny who has heard so many conversations with new
moms he even gives advice to dads at work. I am very proud! I am new to
this whole computer thing and hope I am sending this to the right address. I
am confused about some of the things I have read about the new double pump
coming out. What will this do to the rental business? Also has anyone
tested these? Who and how did they do? Also, I have been looking for a
C.L.E. course in Texas without success. UCLA said maybe in a year or so.
Does anyone have any info? My final question or problem is about sore
breasts and weaning.

23 year old mother with an 18 mo. old boy. This mother has been trying to
become pregnant again w/o success. She decided to wean to speed the process.
She had been weaning gradually for two months and was down to maybe one
feeding a day. On Jan. 13, 96 she stopped completely and just expressed
small amounts to remain comfortable. On Jan. 15, 96 she noticed a couple of
lumps. She then used warm compress and massage to work out the lumps and
followed with the expression of a small amount (about an oz). On Jan. 20,
96 she was not experiencing any fullness or lumps. However, she was having
pain from her armpit to the nipple on the left side. The right breast was
very tender all over. On Jan. 21,96 she noticed some leaking that as she
discribed looked like colostrum. On Jan. 22, 96 she is now having pain in
clevage. Still no lumps or sighn of engorgement. This mom was a client and
has now out of the area so unfortunatly this was all done over the phone.
Everything she did as I instructed above. Did I miss something?

I also would like to thank everyone who has been supportive of us little
C.B.E.'s. It is nice to know people in this profession work as a team for
mothers and babies. I am trying to build hours to take "THE EXAM" any
suggestions? Thank you all!

Michelle Ramsey
