Is anyone familiar with Miraluma imaging, typically used for women who
require further evaluation after a mammogram? The little info I have
says it's used for those with previous lumpectomy/mastectomy,
post-radiation Rx fibrosis and calcifications. It's an injection that
usually concentrates in cancer cells and supposedly gives the docs more
info to evaluate tissue abnormalities "despite dense breast tissue".

Is this something that would be a viable option for lactating women who
find suspicious lumps and have difficulty fighting the healthcare system
for a mammogram because "you know mammograms are very difficult to read
when you're breastfeeding"? I searched the archives using "Miraluma"
and got nothing, but maybe it goes by another name. I suppose the
lactating woman would be told to pump and dump, although most of the
drug leaves the body in a few hours...

You can e-mail the list or e-mail me privately.

Sincerely,
