The subject line says it all. Briggs 4th edition says "it is not known
if chlorzoxazone is excreted into milk. No reports describing the use
of the muscle relaxant during lactation have been located." Hales 4th
edition doesn't list it at all. The baby is 7 days old. Mom is on
medication for muscle spasms from epidural which went into the spinal
base. Doctor plans to keep mom on medication another 3 days and
recommends another 24 - 48 hours off before returning baby to breast.

If this medication is not compatible with breastfeeding are there
effective substitutes that are?
