Christine,
It is unfortunate that the mom was taken off of glucophage after conception,
though not surprising. Getting her back on it is probably the first and best
thing to do.  What can you tell us about her pregnancy breast changes, and
the overall appearance and palpation of the breast?  

I agree with asking for a prolactin; draw around 45 min after starting to
nurse or pump.  It would be good to know when the bromocriptine therapy was
discontinued.  Use Ruth Lawrence page 75 to know what is an appropriate
prolactin level right now. I'd also request a thyroid panel.
