I am posting to tap into your collective wisdom for an IBCLC friend who is
not on Lactnet.  She read the most recent JHL article on Methadone which
stated that the dose is irrelevant with breastfeeding infants which
contradicts the AAP approval of dosages of 20mg/24hours or less.  She would
like all of your input (especially Thomas Hale) about this.   She works with
many mothers who are in a position to use methadone and breastfeed and she
wants to be as current as possible in her recommendations.  Thanks in
