I tell moms what I have heard from others: Many mother's have found "X" to be
uncomfortable, traumatizing to the nipple, and not to mention not getting any
milk for their effort.  I also try to "test" the equipment out there so I can
better explain it's use to a mother (if she needs it).  I cannot live in fear
of lawsuits (besides, the company would have to prove to me that their
product was NOT inferior).

Why not tell moms about a superior product?  I would want to be informed of
what most people find to be the best.  Saves a lot of aggravation and pain
(form using inferior products).

No, he doesn't benefit from the sale but he/she is providing information
about the integrity of drug X.

Would you recommend a product that was proven more effective and withhold
information about an inferior product or would you say "Gee, I don't want to
be a sales person for that company or bash that one because they might sue me
so I'll let the consumer find out for herself."

Sounds like she needed further education.  Perhaps this is something she
heard from a friend who used an inferior pump which DID cause soreness.
