I have run out of ideas. Full term baby appeared tongue tied about 3 days
after birth.  Ped clipped it (he does if necessary) I did not see baby until
day 5. Had not breast fed. Parents gave bottles beginning day 4. Baby would
not latch on to breast tongue on roof of mouth. Had parents finger feed and
do suck training for 5 days- longer than I usually do. But baby was so slow
finger feeding that they would try for 30 min and then give the rest in the
bottle. Takes bottle great does not sleep, but I watched bottom of nipple get
pushed in!! Tried nipple shield --would not latch on. Without nipple shield
baby would latch to breast take two sucks and go to sleep (translated this is
too hard). Tried SNS large tube second tube open so vacuum cannot  form-
asleep!!!  Two sessions about 2 min each of sucking with me squeezing the
SNS. But then baby would sit and sleep. If I squeezed milk it would come out
of mouth.  Take baby off wake up try again five sucks asleep again !!!! Ped
feels baby is fine. Mom is pumping and giving breastmilk in bottle. I am
suggesting that we wait-- bottle feed and offer the breast several times a
day, but I don't like that.  Baby is now two week old. I am stuck. :( Any
