Hi Clark,

By happy coincidence, we've recently installed a wonderful Early
Childhood area called "Little Sky Country" at a newly opened museum
called ExplorationWorks in Helena, MT.

Part of this exhibit gallery was a safe, recessed area called the
"Baby Pond" that included preschool appropriate interactives in a
padded environment making use of eco-friendly "green" materials. One
thing we found at ExWorks, as well as in similar installations we've
done, is that it really helps to have comfortable, integrated seating
areas for the adult caregivers to encourage interaction between the
adults and toddlers.

You can see some images of the entire exhibition, including the Baby
Pond at my Flickr page: <http://www.flickr.com/photos/

Feel free to contact me off list if you have any other questions.
