Incorporated, a worldwide network of science museums and related institutions.

I don't know the answer to your question about through-put, but we  
helped Exploration Place in Wichita plan and open a science-themed  
mini-golf course in 2000.  It's still going strong nine years later.   
You might check with them on their experience.
