Hi all -

Does anyone know where I can get information on the pattern a
hummingbird's wings trace as it flies? I've heard rumors of an exhibit
where kids walk along and replicate the motion. It consists of two long
walls of plywood facing each other with a matching groove cut along
their length, and the kids walk in between with the arms outstretched
through the grooves. As they walk, their arms flap up and down and if
it's done right, they trace out a bird-like motion. I suppose if it's
simpler, it can be a bird other than a hummingbird. Either way, the
idea sounds neat, and rather simple to construct. I haven't been able
to locate any kind of bird wing motion vs time graph to replicate the
pattern. Any suggestions?

Thanks,

-Cricket
