Has anyone explored the use of foursquare or other online check-in or other systems for any types of rewards for participation? I see Alissa Daniels of Boston Children's Museum was exploring the idea of rewards for participation in a series of exhibits in 2008, but not much other chatter about this in the archives (unless I have the wrong keywords, of course!).

I'm specifically wondering if there is a system like this that families might use, something that might be the new digital replacement for the free postcard/sticker in the analog world. Or is there not yet a digital replacement?
