ISEN-ASTC-L is a service of the Association of Science-Technology Centers
Incorporated, a worldwide network of science museums and related institutions.

Since we are on the subject, I'd like to take the opportunity to update my
survey of how audience research and evaluation fits into our organizations.
To see a summary of results from my original survey last fall, check out the
archives at
http://home.dc.lsoft.com/scripts/wa.exe?A2=ind0601&L=ISEN-ASTC-L&P=R1445&I=-
3. Please email me directly if you would like a copy of the detail results.

If you have an individual or department that is primarily responsible for
audience research and evaluation, would you please forward this survey to
the person who can best answer these questions? I will be happy to summarize
and share the responses.

1) Where in the organizational structure is the individual or department
that has responsibility for audience research and/or evaluation? Who does
the individual or department head report to?

2) What sort of audience research and/or evaluation is the individual or
department responsible for (exhibits, programs, marketing, other)? Is this
responsibility shared in any way with other staff in the organization?

3) What is the source of funding for this work--and who is responsible for
the budget?

4) How many staff (including volunteers and contractors) are responsible for
this work and what are their responsibilities? Are they full-time or
part-time, permanent or temporary?

Note: Please confirm that I may share the information in your responses
along with your contact info AND let me know if there is any information in
your response that you do not want me to share.

Thanks!
