There is one that's not too bad - you suspend it in a 50% isopropyl, 50% water formula.  Outside of that formula it will stain, but inside it, it won't stain borosilicate glass (unless it has prolonged contact under magnetic pressure).  I think it's from  Ferrosound Ferrofluidics (603) 883-9800.  I believe those are the ones in the kits.
