Hello Jeff,
How about something like this metal pushbutton:

LAT-MOMENATRY-N.O./-/1.html
Or if you are custom-designing electronics anyway, create a touch-sensitive
metal surface using "qtouch" capacitive sensors (they're bulletproof). It
could be very elegant. I've used them in an exhibit where kids bang on them
constantly and since the electronics are isolated, they never break.
They're auto-calibrating, so virtually no misfires unlike earlier touch
sensors. And you can seal the surface completely with no moving parts.

I'm looking for a pushbutton that will fit into a more formal kiosk.
Industrial and/or arcade in appearance are out....Any suggestions?
Thanks.
