On the other hand, the vacuum pump could be assigned to your exhibits shop.
There, many materials could be vacuum formed into many shapes that could be
included in your designs. It would be a wonderful shop tool!

I have not been following the complete 'big vacuum pump idea' discussion, so
I hope I am not repeating what has been said:
but our edutainers just asked if they could get a big vacuum pump to do the
experiment of the Magdeburg hemispheres, instead of horses (which we do not
have around in our science centre) they would like the kids to try to break
the vacuum
They would not make the vacuum 'too good', so that first two kids can try,
than add two more, and maybe let it break when 2 x 4 children are pulling
