ISEN-ASTC-L is a service of the Association of Science-Technology Centers
Incorporated, a worldwide network of science museums and related institutions.
*****************************************************************************

Dear all,

Participate in this year's Leading Edge Awards competition by nominating
your institution's exemplary accomplishments in visitor experience, business
practice, and staff leadership since January 2006.

Separate awards will go to large and small institutions and to new staff
members, as well as seasoned staff. NEW THIS YEAR: "small" science
centers/museums are now defined as those with annual operating expenses less
than US$3 million. Previously the cut-off was US$ 1.5 million.

Each award will consist of an etched glass "Edgie" presented during the ASTC
Annual Conference in Fort Worth, Texas, plus a paid registration to the 2009
ASTC Annual Conference in Hawaii. That's right: Hawaii.

Deadline is March 18, 2009. Go to

http://www.astc.org/about/awards/leading_edge.htm

for details, nomination forms, and to learn about past Edgie recipients.
