Hello,
We've incorporated different types of technology into the programs we offer to visiting school groups, but are looking to expand this and I would be interested hearing from others regarding what types of technology you use in school program offerings. I'm interested in hearing what works really well (as far as cost; maintenance; applicability to school program delivery; adaptability for different
ages/grades; attractiveness to teachers and students; etc) and maybe what you've tried that hasn't worked as well.

We have integrated technology such as MIT crickets; microscopes; computers; etc into our programs over the years. We've most recently introduced the use of a voting technology to engage large groups (200 students) in our 45-minute programs that we offer in our large auditorium. Each student has a 'clicker' and as the Educator leads the group through the program, they can respond to various
multiple choice questions (eg. "What uses more electricity - a vacuum; a hair dryer; a refrigerator; a washing machine). The results can be shown immediately and the group can be retested again later in the program to gauge learning. We found this technology words really well for the program; was a one-time investment; and is an effective way to make a program in a large space somewhat
interactive.

Any ideas you've heard of and/or examples of what you use would be really welcome.

Regards,
Catherine
