Hi, everyone -

The National Museum of Natural History is currently writing an RFP to
evaluate a year-long teacher professional development program delivered
in partnership with one school district and a university.

We will be sending the RFP out shortly, but in considering potential
evaluators, we realized that we are looking for someone or a firm with a
fairly unique portfolio:

1) The evaluator needs to have experience with and understand
current trends in and frameworks for inservice professional development
for teachers of science and math;

2) The evaluator also needs to have experience with the unique
affordances of such professional development delivered primarily by and
in the context of a museum and its assets (in our case, these are
natural history collections, but "assets" could also be construed, for
example, as exhibits).

Please let me know if you have any recommendations of or experiences
with such an evaluator.

Thanks,

Bill
