ISEN-ASTC-L is a service of the Association of Science-Technology Centers
Incorporated, a worldwide network of science museums and related institutions.

Hi Nina,

Rather than quote some outside source, (great quotes so far by the
way), I chose to quote our Exhibition Guidelines document. I put
together some of the guidelines for our exhibits into one quote.
(There are many more.)

At Explorit, we strive to help people learn “how to discover”. A
great exhibit must engage people’s involvement by asking questions
rather than by making statements, require that participants be able
to exercise exploratory and creative behaviors, and include
opportunities for visitors to leave their mark in an exhibit activity
by adding to it in some way.

This may all sound very familiar today, but it wasn't in 1986 when it
was written.
