You should definitely talk with the staff at the Lawrence Hall of
Science (Alan Gould is the contact - [log in to unmask]) and at Pacific
Science Center (Alice Enevoldsen is the contact -
[log in to unmask]).  They both have small dome planetariums
especially designed to encourage participatory programs and serve 25 to
45 people.  Both have data/video feed capability that can be used as
part of the interactive programs.

Can anyone provide examples of successful "small dome" theaters
(preferably on the East Coast)?

To be more specific I do not mean IMAX, purpose built planetariums, or
inflatable domes.

Instead I am looking for examples of permanent building areas that might
hold one classroom (30-40 people) where video/data feeds are presented. 

Related --- have any "Science on a Sphere" (or similar) programs  been
presented inside a small domed theatre instead of being projected onto
the outside of the spheres?
