ISEN-ASTC-L is a service of the Association of Science-Technology Centers
Incorporated, a worldwide network of science museums and related institutions.

Aside from immediately thinking "spork!", this reminds me of Lewis
Black's rant: "Last year it was cell phones. Then it was digital
cameras. This year the hot new invention is cell phones with digital
cameras in them. Combining two other inventions doesn't count!"

Shimmer: it's a floor wax AND a desert topping,

Hi,

We're trying to generate a list of inventions that are combinations of
existing inventions (excluding computers and telecommunications devices)
and would like your help. For example,
- A Swiss Army Knife combines lots of tools into a compact device.
- The Wubbanub Soothie combines a pacifier and a stuffed animal.

What are your favorite inventions that were created by combining
existing inventions?

Thanks,
Susan Timberlake
