Many years ago when we had a big exhibit on china we made "muffins" out
of wax. We gave a muffin to each student to carve a chinese letter into
and they could use that as a stamp on rice paper. You might want to
make a set of stamps to have on the floor that kids could use to stamp
names or words.
I remember it being quite popular.

I know China is responsible for a whole lot of inventions and engineering ideas including papermaking, printing, suspeension bridges, as well as a lot of advances in medicine, cartography and navigation.

(as opposed to making paper from other paper, which a lot of us know how to do) If you have knowledge of some great China originated science or technology, I'd love to hear about it and/or how you would do a hands-on activitiy with it.
