Here in New Zealand we are rewriting and refocusing our combined museum,
art
gallery and science centre Collections Policy. It would be a great help to
me if any of your were able to mail to me off-line (to
[log in to unmask]) any examples of your organisations science
collection policy (for both interactive exhibits and science museum
artefacts).

I am particularly interested in the objectives and criteria used by others
to define a science and technology museum collection (particularly dealing
with the issues of collecting and managing technology e.g. computers) and
also collecting experimental/research science equipment (we are based in a
region bursting with R&D and science organisations).

Any e.g.'s or comment on what has worked for your place would be most
appreciated down here in Lord of the Rings Land!
