ISEN-ASTC-L is a service of the Association of Science-Technology Centers
Incorporated, a worldwide network of science museums and related institutions.

Hi Anna,

ASTC has a web page with a list of designers and fabricators, as does
ACM. You can search here;

http://www.astc.org/members/pslist/pslist.htm

http://www.childrensmuseums.org/programs/productsandserviceslist.htm

But many very good and reputable designers and fabricators are not
listed there - not that there's anything wrong with them, but because
they simply are not members of these organizations, like us. These are
not bad places to begin your search but you may have to dig further to
find just what you're looking for.

As for specific exhibits that you're after, I am not aware of any
collected data base, though some enterprising young mind probably has
one out there. You may have to rely on the collected knowledge of this
group to help direct you, or you can fall back on the old reliable
standby: Google. Be a little creative in your searches and don't give up
too soon. Exhibit designers and fabricators like to show how clever they
are - it's part of the territory. They may call their exhibit something
cute, like 'Blown Away' rather than a simple descriptive name like
'tornado exhibit' (though if they have a good marketing department they
know how to 'meta-tag' their web site or some such thing which I don't
understand.) Good luck in your search.
