Hi All,
I’m asking about this on behalf of Stephen Van Wormer, who is confused with the descriptions of the manufacturing method of MOLDED rim maiolicas.

Specifically referring to what is called “Molded Blue on White” from Fox & Ulrich, 2008, page 85, Figure 4-24: Is there a description of how these sopero like / soup plate items were produced?

All descriptions still seem to him to be included under the umbrella of wheel thrown but they ARE called molded rim.

Thanks,
S. Walter
