Prosser buttons continue in good quantities through the end of the 19th and  
into the early 20th century here in California, although I do not have a  
terminus date. My own grandmother's button jar, which I now own, contains black  
and white Prosser buttons and she scavenged old shirts in Chicago through the  
1940s.
