Hard to tell from what little shows in the photograph, and the resolution isn't too good, but my best guess would be a thatch roofed arbor or gazebo of some sort.

Subject: Mystery building

I was asked about a building in a photograph, and I am not sure what to make of it. I have some ideas, but they are only guesses. The photograph is from a farmstead in central Missouri (no information is available about what they grew on the farm or the nationality of the family, unfortunately). If you go to the link below, and scroll down to the bottom of the page, it is photograph #21. The building in question is the small thatched roof and stick building in the bottom right corner of the photo. Anybody familiar with buildings like this?
