"Girl Power" was alive and well with individuals as Queen Elizabeth, Mary, 
Queen of Scots; Mary Tudor, J'eanne d'Abrect, Queen of Navarre; and 
Catherine d'Medici, Queen of France being real players from their medieval 
antecedents.
