Todd,
 
Write the State Historic Preservation Officer (SHPO) in each state that you
are interested in and ask for a list of the CRM firms that do business
in that state.  The SHPO will mail you a list of organizations that you
can call or write (better to do both).
 
Also, if you get turned down on the phone, ask the person if they know of
any other companies that are hiring.  Good luck.
