Salary: $3209.00 - $4297.00 per month 
Work Location:  Austin, Texas
     
Under the general direction of the Director of 
Cultural Resources Management, supervises a group 
of professional and technical employees engaged in
identifying, evaluating and mitigating the impact of 
transportation projects and programs on historic 
buildings, structures, objects and districts  (historic 
resources) for clearance of transportation projects, 
including responsibility for statewide historic 
resource inventories. Work requires extensive
contact with governmental officials, regulatory 
agencies and the public .  Work also requires travel.
     
Minimum requirements are: a Bachelor degree in 
history, architecture, architectural history, historic 
preservation, American Studies, or urban/community
and regional planning plus five (5) years full-time 
progressively responsible experience in historic 
preservation or the equivalent part-time experience 
thereof.  Graduate level work in the above degree 
fields may be substituted for experience on a year 
per year basis.  Must have one (1) year full-time 
supervisory/managerial experience or the equivalent 
part-time experience thereof.  **Must meet Secretary 
of the Interior's Code of Federal Regulations, 36 
CFR Part 61 professional qualifications standards 
for history, architectural history or historic 
architecture.
