The Overfield Tavern Museum is an 1808 log tavern with an attached 1803 log
house located in historic downtown Troy, Ohio, on the bank of the Great
Miami River. The museum is looking for an historical archaeology graduate
student or faculty member interested in conducting a summer field school or
thesis/dissertation research at the site in advance of future
ground-disturbing work and in conjunction with the acquisition of adjacent
property. The museum would prefer there be a robust public archaeology
component to the project. Local funding opportunities exist to support this
project. If you or someone you know might be interested, please contact me
