When working in Mississippi on the Army Corps Tennessee-Tombigbee Canal
impacts near Columbus, MS (home of "Tennessee" Williams) I heard the Cobb
Institute of Archaeology, which we visited, (a small "Ishtar Gate" recreated
for Mrs. Cobb's 95th birthday), was made from margarine monies. It is or was
split in two, one half in the Old World, primarily in the Levant and
southwest Asia the other half, American archaeology. They were treating by
electrolysis some recovered steamboat engine fittings when Mrs. Cobb visited
prior to the mounting of the facade of fired brick "slices".
