Hi

Over here in the UK, I've excavated part of a late nineteenth/early twentieth-ce
ntury slum tenement in Chester together
with adjacent terraced houses. The 1994 excavation is still not written up (surp
rise!) but there's an interim coming out
this summer in *Familiar pasts?* edited by Susie West and Sarah Tarlow (and publ
ished in the UK at least by Routledge).
The volume contains a number of papers on this theme and ought to prove fairly r
evolutionary in this country as we're a
bit slow in coming to terms with the archaeology of the last two centuries this
side of the pond.
