The news media are notorious for passing themselves off as experts on absolutely
everything.  If no one ever calls the "experts", in this instance Dr. Gott, then
the papers who purchase his column will continue to think he is doing a great
job.  If on the other hand enough people make enough noise, perhaps he will
return to what ever he did before he started writing an advice column.

I did not recall ever seeing Dr. Gott in the local paper.  So I called and talked
to the editor in charge of that section.  They do not carry Dr. Gott.  Once I
explained why I called,  she remarked that she was glad they didn't carry Dr.
Gott.

Write to his editor.   If your paper carries Dr. Gott, complain.  If no one
complains, then we deserve what we get.
