Banned in the U.S. in the 90's, but legal in most other coutries.  I tried to
buy some back in 96 or 97 and all I could get was merthiolate.  NOT
the same thing.

However, I do remember fragments of being a kid (the 60's only left me
fragments) and the square mercuachrome bottles.  I still have some
square merthiolate bottle. They probably came in both sahpes.
