Historic St. Mary's City is pleased to announce that a digital version of
the brochure "Preserving the Past for the Future: Archaeological
Conservation at Historic St. Mary's City" is now available at the museum's
web site (http://www.stmaryscity.org/conserve.html) This brochure detail
why it is so important to plan for the conservation of artifacts before
you even go into the field. It was produced with grant support from the
Institute of Museum and Library Services and uses the Lead Coffin project
as a case study. Hard copy of the brochre will be distributed at the CNEHA
meetings this fall and SHA in January.
