7th Annual Meeting

October 16th - 18th, 1995
Denver, Colorado

The FPF's 7th Annual Meeting is being sponsored by the Bureau of
Reclamation, Fish and Wildlife Service, Forest Service, and
Western Area Power Administration Offices in Denver. These
agencies have graciously offered to coordinate our meeting and
provide conveniently located conference facilities within walking
distance of hotel and restaurant facilities. Meetings are
currently scheduled to be held in the Conference Facilities of the
US Fish and Wildlife office from noon on Monday until noon on
Wednesday. A social hour is planned for Monday evening. Final
hotel and conference registration information will be announced in
the next newsletter.

This year's meeting will be more important than ever, due to the
current attacks on the preservation infrastructure. We are
soliciting your suggestions for meeting topics and encourage you
to contact the Meeting Chair or other meeting sponsors as soon as
possible with your ideas. Topics currently being considered
include the status of the Advisory Council, DOD Legacy, Native
American Issues, the Programmatic Agreement for the BLM in
Wyoming, and cultural resources training for non-preservation
managers. We also plan to block a period of time for discussions
of case history problems and successes. If you would like to make
a presentation, lead a discussion topic, or would like to suggest
a topic, please contact one of the following

Meeting Chair: President Elect William Willingham, Corps of
Engineers, North Pacific Division, P.O. Box 2870, Portland, OR
97208, or call him at (503) 326-5609

Meeting Sponsors: Rhoda Lewis, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service,
P.O. Box 25486, Denver Federal Center, Denver, Colorado 80225,

Other meeting sponsors include Mary Barger, Western Area Power
Administration, Terri Liestman, US Forest Service, and Brit Storey
and Ed Friedman, Bureau of Reclamation.

NOTE: This years meeting will conclude just prior to the Plains
Anthropological Conference, scheduled for October, 19th - 21st, in
Laramie, Wyoming (just 2 hours drive north of Denver). Plan to
stay for the week and attend both.
