Folks:

The busy months of the northern hemisphere’s summer may be winding down
but things here are starting to pick up as field reports begin to come in
and new research projects start to take shape. The next few months will
be a busy time at the Museum of Underwater Archaeology
(http://www.themua.org).

To start off we have the first report of the season from the Bournemouth
University folks working on a 1628 Dutch merchantman in the Swash Channel
in the UK. One of this year’s goals is to record and dismantle the bow.

Next up - the folks organizing the upcoming Asia-Pacific Regional
Conference on Underwater Cultural Heritage have released their September
newsletter containing an interview with Egyptian underwater archaeologist,
Dr. Emad Khalil.

Some of our other recent additions include a guest blog by Peruvian
underwater archaeologist Carlos E. Ausejo and our cross disciplinary Art
from Archaeology project.

You can view all of these posts by clicking the links under the “New
Entries” section of the MUA home page. http://www.themua.org

Best regards,

T. Kurt Knoerl
Director
The MUA
