Asbestos materials are only hazardous if they are "friable," which means that 
the material can easily be reduced to a powder using only your hands.   As I 
understand it, OSHA and other regulating bodies do not consider non-friable 
asbestos products to be problematic even in the long term.   Indeed you can 
still buy some types of floor tiles and the like which contain asbestos today if I 
understand correctly.   For what it is worth, I can't imagine a few floor 
tiles, sealed in curatorial bags would be a problem in the long term but this of 
course is an opinion and other people certainly will   have more knowledge on 
this process than I do.
