Senior Archaeologist

MACTEC is seeking a Senior Archaeologist to be based in its Knoxville,
Tennessee office.  This is a full-time salaried position.  Duties will
include coordination and supervision of multiple concurrent projects in
the eastern United States.  This person works under the supervision of
the Project Principal Archaeologist and will work closely with the Field
Directors.  The successful candidate must possess a Master's degree or
Ph.D. in Anthropology or Archaeology and be a member or be eligible to
become a member of the Register of Professional Archaeologists.  This
position requires a minimum of five years of experience in the cultural
resources management field and a demonstrated ability to successfully
complete field work, laboratory tasks and reports while maintaining a
schedule, budget and the quality of the work.  Supervisory experience
and a willingness to travel are required.  Experience in preparing
budgets and planning projects is preferred.  A writing sample must be
submitted with the resume along with at least three professional
