Following up on previous message re: Leffel turbine wheels, the Ohio Historical
Society has .25 cubic foot of records of James Leffel & Co., 1845-90, including
patents for water wheels.  There is also a 123 p. "New Pamphlet of the James
Lefffel Water Wheels, Standards, Specials and Samsons: Built by the Old
Reliable and Celebrated House of James Leffel & Co. 35 Years in Business,"
published in 1897.
 
Also of possible interest is "The Constrution of Mill Dams: Comprising also the
Building of Race and Reservoir Embankments and Head Gates," published by Leffel
in 1874.
