Todd Girdler,

I have been working on ceramic price history and the impact of falling
prices on ceramic consumption patterns. Some of the results can be found
in the following article.

George L. Miller, Ann Smart Martin, and Nancy S. Dickinson
1994 Changing Consumption Patterns: English Ceramics and American
Market from 1770 to 1840. pages 219-248 in Every Day Life in
the Early Republic edited by Catherine E. Hutchins. Winterthur
Museum, Winterthur, Delaware.

This book is available from the Winterthur Museum book store. Address
is Winterthur Museum, Bookstore, Winterthur, Delaware 19735.
