The Archaeological Institute of America did a survey back in 2006/7. It
covered a demographic work archaeologists and students. I can not find my
notes on the source (Journal or Web link) but the information was mostly
useful. There was sex, age range, broad education and some income
information.

Subject: demography of archaeologists

Hi HistArch'ers
Does anyone know of sources of information about the demography of
archaeologists themselves - e.g., breakdowns of SHA or SAA membership by
gender, race, education level, etc.? Or other metrics?
