Lustige Sinfonietta was written in 1916. The Sinfonietta in E was written
much later. The opening movements are nothing alike: Lustige Sinfonietta
starts slowly; the Sinfonietta is one of those "motor-rhythm" thingies that
keeps tightening the screws.

The Sinfonietta was recorded by Robert Whitney on Louisville. Lustige
Sinfonietta is part of the cpo series of Hindemith orchestral works.
