You perhaps meant to write "soundtrack to Bela Lugosi's horrible Dracula"?

I've heard reliable reports that Glass's music is a very effective
soundtrack, when played live in the cinema - which is perhaps all that
matters. If it sounds sickly and horribly bland, which I agree it does,
that's probably why it counterpoints so well with the film.

As sundry postings have demonstrated, it's unhelpful to judge theatre or
film scores (especially Glass - although even Verdi has been a sufferer!)
without reference to the medium for which they've been written.

I still find myself bemused by penny-in-the-slot criticisms of Glass.
What is it about him that irritates otherwise rational people so much?
Perhaps his shady past as a New York cab driver ...
